Behind this cuddly babysitting cat, there’s a surprising story.
When American shorthair tabby Callie was discovered by a local shelter near Milwaukee, she was a young mom unable to care for her babies. After being taken in by the shelter, her sick and malnourished kittens passed away.
Grief made Callie aggressive. She would bite, scratch, and hiss at her carers. As a result, she was deemed unadoptable and placed on the euthanasia list.
However, fate intervened when Julia Stuller took a chance on Callie and adopted her. Julia lavished attention on the cat, hoping it would change her attitude.
Callie responded well, but when Julia became pregnant with Emma, she worried about how Callie would react to having a child in the house. But what happened next was astonishing! Callie transformed completely. She responded to Emma’s cries, wanted to be near her crib, and followed her to bed in the evenings.
Julia thinks she knows why.
Watch the video above to see Callie’s remarkable transformation and discover the reason behind it!
